"The debate over their (Bigfoot's) existence is moot in the circumstance of their tenuous hold on merely existing," reads a petition presented by Lake to parliament in March and due to be discussed next week.I predict that if a U.S. congressman takes up the cause he'll be not from Washington or Oregon but from California. Just a hunch.
"Therefore, the petitioners request the House of Commons to establish immediate, comprehensive legislation to affect immediate protection of Bigfoot," says the petition signed by almost 500 of Lake's constituents in Edmonton, Alberta.
A similar appeal has been made to the US Congress.
"Governmental encouragement does not order men to believe that the false is true, it merely makes them indifferent to the issue of truth or falsehood."-Ayn Rand.

Too Much Time On His Hands

Quick comment, the AFP news story is pure crap. Mike Lake has never said anything like they have attributed to him in the story.
Thanks ardvark. I'm not surprised. That's the trouble with things that are partially true like half-truths. The false aspects gain credibility by hiding behind the true parts. That just goes to show the 'superior' fact checking of MSM, in this case AFP and Yahoo News. I guess I'll have to start each MSM citation with the disclaimer "If newspapers can be trusted..." Thanks again.
Mike
